Taquana “Tabby” Sears, a Charlotte Dentistry patient, has agreed to share her Invisalign experience with us on a regular basis. For the last several months, she’s given us reports on how she’s doing with Invisalign, including ups and downs. Below is her latest blog entry.
I am now in my 7th month of treatment. I just picked up trays 16-18 out of a set of 21.
So the end is approaching.
I’m sure I will have to do some revisions after tray 21. Hopefully I can be completely done by my sister’s wedding in September of 2012! There will be lots of pictures taken and I would love to have my million dollar smile by then!
Things are moving along according to plan. On one of my previous visits, one of the assistants gave me these small rubber tubes called aligner “chewies.” These little “chewies” are amazing!
When I put my new trays in, I pop one of the “chewies” in and chew on them so my teeth settle in the new trays quicker. It definitely eliminates the time my teeth take to get used to the new trays. This results in less discomfort time! Who wouldn’t enjoy that? It is a little sore when you first chew on them, but the soreness does not last long at all.
I must say it does get a little annoying having to remove my trays to eat. Simply because brushing my teeth is now an event. I’m now brushing two sets of teeth…my own and the trays. It is definitely time consuming. What gets me through is knowing the end is in sight and the RESULTS will be worth it ALL.
Please continue to follow my 18-month Invisalign ride. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding my treatment and Charlotte Dentistry.
