As a boy growing up in Fayetteville, NC, Dr. Chris Watson had a very close relationship with his grandfather, a dentist himself, who introduced him to the profession. When it came time for college, he decided to become a dentist. Coupled with his strong compassion for people, he knew it would be a career where he could make a difference and use his artistic talents.
Dr. Watson completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Florida State University. He returned to UNC and completed his DDS degree. While at UNC, Dr. Watson participated in a hospital internship at the University of Virginia. He joined Charlotte Dentistry in 2000.
Energetic and friendly, Dr. Watson is known for his colorful bow ties and passion for golf. He possesses great zeal for comforting patients.

He is a certified top 1 percent Invisalign practitioner for all of North America and has been a Diamond Plus Provider of Invisalign and Invisalign Teen since 2007. He was named one of Charlotte Magazine’s Top Dentists in 2019.
At his church, Dr. Watson has served on the Marriage Ministry Board. He is currently active with the Pregnancy Resource Center, the Bless Back Worldwide Missionary Group, and a Home Group as a leader. He serves on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Metro Board as chairman and regional board member.
Dr. Watson and his wife have four energetic young daughters, and both parents have taken on the responsibility of homeschooling. Each day includes prayer, smiles, laughter, and a sense of accomplishment for them all. Dr. Watson is a very hands-on father and devoted husband, making time for long family walks and other group activities. He’s an avid golfer and tennis player and likes to vacation in Pinehurst and on Kiawah Island. This gives him the chance to enjoy his favorite games plus get in more quality family time.
His favorite verse is: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
