Dr. Heather Dowlin loves her job! She loves to be able to help people understand their dental needs and ease common dental fears. With her gentle chairside manner, patients can be comfortable during their treatment. Dr. Dowlin has a passion for cosmetic dentistry, restoring dental implants, and treating children. She has been voted as one of Charlotte Magazine’s Top Dentists multiple times.
Growing up in Downingtown, PA, Dr. Dowlin combined her love of art and the positive influence from her dentist and orthodontist into a career in dentistry. She had a strong work ethic in school and excelled in sports. Dr. Dowlin was an All-American field hockey player at Shippensburg University and after graduation continued to Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry. During her years at Temple, she received the Pierre Fauchard Leadership Award and was actively involved in student government. Dr. Dowlin also served on a mission trip to Haiti, which provided dental care to poverty-stricken areas.
She is an active participant and dedicates many hours to continuing education groups to advance her practice in dentistry. She also volunteers in the community with North Carolina Missions of Mercy to help families in need of dental care. Her professional affiliations include:

When Dr. Dowlin is not in the office, she is a marathon and ultra-marathon runner and is active in many of the Charlotte running clubs. She thoroughly enjoys her children’s activities and loves sports and spending time with family and friends.
