I’ve been a loyal patient at this dental practice since the ’80s, and my recent annual cleaning reaffirmed why. Cindy, the dental hygienist, provided exceptional care. Her gentle touch and genuine concern for my comfort made the cleaning a breeze. I’ve always received top-notch service here, and Cindy’s expertise is a shining example of their commitment to patient satisfaction. Highly recommend this practice for their outstanding staff and long-standing dedication to dental health.
Did you know that June is fruits and vegetables month? We thought it was a great time to talk about the best foods for healthy teeth and gums. This throwback video by the American Dental Association is a great inspiration to stay on track with your nutrition. Your smile will thank you!
Next time you go to the store, make sure you stock up on these foods:
- Fruits and vegetables – Crunchy vegetables like carrots and celery are great for your teeth. Apples and other citrus fruits can also increase saliva production which can wash away bacteria.
- Calcium – Dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt are all good sources of calcium. However, you can also find calcium in dark leafy greens, fortified cereals and juices, and beans.
- Nuts – Nuts are filled with a nutrient called phosphorus. When combined with calcium – which is also in nuts too – it can help your bone production. All of this plays a part in strengthening your teeth and oral health overall.
Of course, this just scratches the surface of healthy foods for your teeth! Another tip is to cut down on sugar and drink plenty of water.
